The Historic Poteau Library was brought to our foundations’ attention through Facebook where it had grown quite a nice following of people that wanted to watch the transformation of the former library. I reached out to Tammy and Michael the wonderful owners, they were ecstatic to see that other people were serious about helping out with their project.

We worked on the kitchen sink after it became plugged and were able to get it unclogged. We helped get the first layer of texture on the walls upstairs. The painting was a major task today, tackling the upstairs bathroom, and baseboard trim. We look so forward to helping out with more volunteer days to bring this stoic place back to life!

In 2021 the Historic Poteau Library was successfully and fully renovated by Tammy and Michael. This is a win for preservationists and those that love history.
