I am honored to have given a presentation on January 27, 2023 at the monthly Preservation Oklahoma event called “Hisotry & Hops”. The presentation was called “Crafting the Narrative to Save Historic Buildings” and I was able to share my thoughts and ideas on how to help preserve abandoned buildings through the use of video and social media.
Video and social media can play a powerful role in spreading awareness about our favorite historic abandoned buildings. Just because a building is abandoned does not mean that its story is over. Through the use of video, we can bring these buildings back to life and show people their beauty, history, and significance. Social media allows us to reach a large audience and spread the message about these buildings and why they are worth saving.

At the Abandoned Atlas Foundation (AAF) our main goals are preservation and education. Through historical research articles, endangered nominations, call-to-action videos, and public outreach we pool together resources.
Our children’s future needs to revolved around a place they can have if their lives just don’t go the way you wanted it to.Our teenager gets into trouble,the court wants to sentence him,sentence him and get him out the way,wait says the lawyer we have a program that will help him in school and in delovelopment skills that he’ll know for the rest of their lives.He sentence was to complete the program and never worry about getting in trouble again.He became a well behaved up standing citizen that prospered in his life.He always said “If they didn’t have this program what and where would I be.The experience over all helped so many,people that are something today because job corps was here.it became so much to so many,it would be a terrible loss to the future of the American people.People have come from all over to be changed and have a better life.its hundreds ,probably thousands that turned their lives around but this place needs to stand and be productive to change and better children’s lives towards our future.
